SERVICE AGREEMENT
This Pet Sitting Service Agreement (“Agreement”) is made between:
Service Provider: Creative Media Enterprises LLC, doing business as Direct Pet Sitting (alternatively referred to as “Direct Pet Sitting,” “DPS,” or “the Company”)
Client: [Client Name] (“Client”)
Direct Pet Sitting (“we,” “our,” or “the Company”) is a registered DBA of Creative Media Enterprises LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company.
1. SERVICES PROVIDED Direct Pet Sitting agrees to provide pet sitting services for the Client’s pet(s) as outlined in the agreed service request form. Services may include, but are not limited to: feeding, walking, administering medications, cleaning litter boxes, providing general pet care as needed, and overnight pet sitting.
2. PET INFORMATION The Client shall provide detailed and accurate information about each pet, including but not limited to: breed, age, medical history, special needs, behavior traits, and feeding instructions.
3. DURATION OF SERVICES Services shall begin on Start Date and end on End Date, unless extended by mutual agreement.
4. PAYMENT TERMS
• Automatic Payments: You agree to save and maintain a valid credit or debit card in your account.
• Past Due Invoices: If payment fails for any reason, your reservation may be canceled. We may attempt to reach you to find a different form of payment in order to maintain your scheduled booking.
5. CANCELLATION POLICY
Client Cancellations:
- Cancellations made more than 72 hours before service: Full refund or credit
- Cancellations made 24 to 72 hours before service: 50% refund or credit
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before service: No refund or credit
- Clients may opt for credit instead of refund. All credits expire 180 days from the date of cancellation and cannot be extended. Frequent cancellations (three or more within a 365 day period) may result in denial of future services.
Rescheduling: If you need to change your dates, we’ll do our best to accommodate you based on availability.
DPS Cancellations: If DPS cancels, the Client will receive a full refund or credit for future services.
6. THIRD-PARTY EXPENSES Direct Pet Sitting requires immediate reimbursement for third-party expenses, such as veterinary care, pet supplies, or locksmith services, incurred on your behalf. A 5% processing fee will apply if paid by DPS. Clients are encouraged to pay third-party vendors directly to avoid this fee.
7. HOME ACCESS, PRIVACY, AND SECURITY By contracting Direct Pet Sitting, you authorize us to enter your home to perform agreed-upon services. You must disclose the presence of others expected on your property. Undisclosed visitors may result in service cancellation or police involvement. Ensure all security cameras are legally placed and do not compromise sitter privacy. Locksmith expenses for access issues, unless caused by negligence, are the Client’s responsibility.
8. EMERGENCY GUARDIANS AND INCLEMENT WEATHER
• Emergency Guardians: If you cannot resume care for your pet, designated Emergency Guardians will assume responsibility. If no guardian is available, your pet may be taken to a boarding facility at your expense.
• Inclement Weather: At least one Emergency Guardian must be available within walking distance to provide care if travel becomes unsafe.
9. PET AND HOUSEHOLD SUPPLIES Clients are responsible for providing necessary pet care supplies (food, medications, cleaning items, etc.) for the reservation. If supplies run out and you are unreachable, DPS will purchase missing items at your expense. See “Third-Party Expenses” for details.
10. VACCINATIONS & ZOONOTIC DISEASE Clients must ensure pets are up-to-date on rabies vaccinations or have a medical waiver from a veterinarian. Notify DPS immediately if your pet contracts a zoonotic disease or cancel scheduled services.
11. PET ABANDONMENT Pets left in DPS care for over 10 days without compensation or contact will be considered abandoned. DPS may rehome the pet or turn it over to an appropriate facility.
12. LIABILITY Unless caused by DPS negligence, the Client releases DPS from liability for:
• Security breaches by third parties.
• Pet mishaps while unsupervised.
• Natural disasters or weather-related damage.
• Transportation or veterinary care expenses. DPS liability is limited to the fees paid for services rendered.
13. VETERINARY MEDICAL CARE In emergencies, DPS will seek veterinary care and make decisions based on professional advice if the Client is unreachable. The Client assumes full financial responsibility for all medical costs incurred.
14. PET PHOTOS Direct Pet Sitting retains ownership of pet photos or recordings for promotional use. By signing, you consent to this use.
